Castle ruin on a hill above Vír II reservoir, founded by the Peršteyn family in the 13th–14th century. Abandoned by 1464; three substantial ditch ramparts and stonework survive. Since 2021 within the Pyšolec nature reserve.
Pyšolec's ownership swung back and forth for over a century before the castle was finally left to fall apart. The Perštejn family sold it in the mid-14th century, then reacquired it soon after, only to trade it away again for other estates. An attempt to win the Pyšolec estate back began in the early 15th century but didn't succeed until 1446. The castle was abandoned shortly afterward, and by 1464 it was already described as ruined. What survives today is concentrated in the core: some masonry, and more visibly the earthworks, chiefly three large ditch ramparts cut across the hill's neck to defend the approach.
On the Vír reservoir cycle loop to Jimramov, the ruin sits right on the return leg above the water.
