Eierhäuschen is a brick excursion restaurant built in 1890 on the Spree at the edge of Plänterwald, its tower and pyramid roof designed by Karl Frobenius. Novelist Theodor Fontane visited repeatedly and wrote it into his novel "Der Stechlin." The building later stood inside the Spreepark amusement grounds and sat abandoned after the park's 2001 insolvency. It has since reopened as the Spreepark Art Space, hosting rotating exhibitions.
