Pythonbrug, also called Hoge Brug, is a bright red footbridge spanning 90 metres across the water between Sporenburg and Borneo Island in the Eastern Docklands. Designed by Adriaan Geuze of West 8 and built in 2001, it rises from both banks in a steep S-curve, reaching 9.5 metres of clearance at its centre. It carries pedestrians only and won the International Footbridge Award in 2002.
