Saint Mary-le-Port Church
Ruins · Bristol
Checked
Saint Mary-le-Port's origins trace to the late Saxon or early Norman era, near Bristol's original quayside on the Avon before the harbour moved to the Frome. Rebuilt in the 15th and 16th centuries, it was destroyed in the November 1940 Blitz, leaving only its three-stage Pennant stone tower standing.
