A flat earthen mound 18 meters across, ringed by old beech trees, marks the site of a small fortified tower built here in the early 12th century, on the grounds of Gut Warnberg. When it fell out of use is unknown. At 580.5 meters, the mound is the highest point in Munich and the city's southernmost developed spot.
