Checked
Schloss Rezensried served as the summer residence of the abbots of Fürstenfeld Monastery until secularization in 1803. Its 16th-century core was enlarged in 1692 by Giovanni Antonio Viscardi, the architect behind Fürstenfeld's own monastery buildings, and a chapel dedicated to St. Michael was added on the east side in 1572. The three-storey mansard-roofed castle near Herrsching is a protected building monument.
