Wörthseeschlössl
Castle · Munich
Checked
Wörthseeschlössl sits on Mausinsel, the small island in the Wörthsee, visible offshore from the eastern lakeside path. A fortified manor first stood here in 1446, built by the Munich Katzmair family; the Toerring family replaced it with today's hip-roofed summer residence between 1770 and 1772. Its upper floor holds a hall with Rococo decorative paintings, but the castle is privately owned and cannot be visited.
