This site in Stockdorf carried the cover name Bundesstelle für Fernmeldestatistik, "Federal Office for Telecommunications Statistics," a deliberately bland label. Behind it operated a technical reconnaissance branch of West Germany's foreign intelligence service, the BND, active here until 2014, one of several such stations alongside sister sites in Husum, Butzbach and Pullach.
