Tolo's Bar & Restaurant is a Mediterranean bar and eatery located on the seafront promenade in Puerto Pollença, Mallorca, known as a favorite meeting point for cyclists. The bar's own Cycling Friendly Challenge starts and finishes on its terrace, sending riders up Coll de Femenia and Coll de Sa Batalla to Sa Calobra, over to the Mirador des Colomer and Sa Talaia d'Albercutx on the Formentor peninsula, and back down to the seafront for a reward once the ride is done. That pull on professional cyclists goes back to 2008, when the British team based itself in Pollença ahead of the Beijing Olympics and was housed and fed largely at Tolo's, with Bradley Wiggins and Chris Froome among the squad; Team Sky riders kept coming back with them in the years after. A wall of photographs near the back traces decades of the riders, professional and amateur, who have stopped in along the way. Wiggins remained a regular during his visits to the island, and what he left behind gets more attention these days than the menu. The kitchen runs on a Josper charcoal oven, turning out grilled meats and paellas for riders refuelling after the climbs.
