Rifugio Fedare is a family-run mountain hut at around 2,000 metres on Passo Giau, kept by the Troi family and serving typical Dolomites cuisine. It is open year-round, with a terrace that catches sun until sunset and views over the pass, and serves as a base for hikers and mountain bikers heading up to Averau and Nuvolau. The hut offers free, unattended parking and Wi-Fi. Sitting right on the Maratona's Giau ascent, it makes a straightforward stop to refuel or rest before or after the climb.
