Rifugio Scotoni is a family-run Alpine hut at 1,985 m in the Fanes-Sennes-Prags nature park, on Alta Badia's stretch of the Dolomites' High Route No. 1. The Agreiter family has run it for fifty years, grilling lamb and venison ribs over an open barbecue and serving homemade speck dumplings in broth, with tables on an open-air terrace. A gravel road climbs from Capanna Alpina near Armentarola, manageable even by e-bike, with no other car access to the hut.
