Café Fara sits right on the main cycling route beneath the Pálava hills, and riders stop here as much for the setting as the coffee: a converted Baroque vicarage next to Klentnice's Church of St. George, its rooms strung around a long courtyard shaded by a walnut tree. The building dates to the reign of Joseph II, built as the residence of a parish administrator, and stood almost against the church wall until a six-month restoration turned it into a café, opening on St. George's Day in 2009. Much of the original floor plan survives, a row of small connected rooms now furnished with café tables, walnut benches and a marble-topped bar, one of them a vaulted former cellar room. In 2019 the complex added a coffee museum in its outbuildings, showing roughly 500 pieces, among them a 1930s copper column espresso machine and a coffee grinder a WWI soldier made from a spent bullet casing, one of the larger such collections in Europe. The house blend is a slow-roasted arabica sourced from Brazil, Ethiopia and India, and the kitchen is known locally for a filled, baked yeast dumpling. A wine cellar and a former school building complete the grounds around the courtyard.
