Kafe z ruky

Kafe z ruky is a coffee window built into the historic main gate of Veltrusy castle park, with a terrace looking out over the park's deer enclosure. It opened in January 2021, run by Petr Hübl, a barista and bartender who has competed in prestigious competitions and worked in molecular gastronomy across Central Europe. The house brand, also called Kafe z ruky, is a 100% Arabica espresso blend, alongside single-origin filter coffees and an organic decaf. The kitchen turns out sweet and savory French crêpes, including a gluten-free buckwheat version, plus bagels and salads. Desserts are house-made, and the ice cream comes from Puro Gelato, a well-regarded Czech producer. The wine list draws on family connections to a vineyard in Velké Pavlovice in Moravia, alongside a small private import of Italian wines and prosecco.
