Rozhledna Městská Hora
Observation tower · Czechia

The concrete tower crowns the wooded hill just west of Beroun's old town, and the climb to its covered terrace rewards you with a wide view over the town's rooftops to the hills of Děd and Koukolova hora. It was opened on 12 April 1936 and stands 15 metres tall on a summit already 290 metres above sea level, its terrace carried on four pillars and reached by 66 steps. The whole structure was rebuilt from scratch in 1999 after decades of use. A small bear enclosure and a scout centre sit on the same hillside, making the tower part of a popular local outing beyond just the view.
