Vinařství U Kapličky is a family winery in Zaječí, in South Moravia's Velkopavlovická wine sub-region, producing wine from its own vineyards since 2005. It is known for cellar tours with tastings, a Retro grill restaurant, a wine bar, and a guesthouse with a pool and garden. It holds Cyklisté vítáni (Cyclists Welcome) certification, offering bike storage, washing, basic tools, spare parts, and rental. That makes it a practical stop or overnight base for cyclists touring the Moravian wine region.

Vinařství U Kapličky sits right where the Velkopavlovická sub-region meets Mikulovská, on ground crossed by local wine trails and cycling routes. The family behind it farms 90 hectares of its own vines and bottles around 500,000 bottles a year, built around quality wines with appellation status rather than volume. Cellar masters Dalibor Babáček and Romana Veselá run the operation, and alongside the cellar tastings the estate also runs technical tours through the production facility with expert commentary. Behind the vineyard rows, two former gravel pits have been turned into stocked fishing lakes, carp, grass carp, pike and catfish, drawing anglers after trophy-size fish on the same grounds as the wine visitors.

What you see

Vineyard rows climb the hillside around the estate, with two former gravel-pit lakes, now stocked fishing ponds, spread out behind the cellar and guesthouse buildings.
