CoCo Coffee

Café · Blansko · Czechia

Checked

Specialty coffee on Blansko's main square, run by a barista who cut her teeth managing a café in Dublin and now judges international coffee competitions. The house beans come from Belfast roaster Bailies Coffee, poured alongside gluten-free soups, paninis and raw desserts in a wood-and-black-tile space with cake counter and armchairs.

CoCo Coffee's owner Radka Smíšková started her coffee career managing the Insomnia café in central Dublin, then spent nine years there as an operations manager before returning to Moravia to open her own place. She has been an internationally certified SCAE and WBC competition judge since 2008, and CoCo Coffee holds the exclusive Czech representation for Bailies Coffee Roasters of Belfast, whose beans are the house pour. The Blansko café, on náměstí Svobody in the town centre, opened in 2017 as the company's first location; a second Blansko café followed in 2021, and by 2023 the company had added a small café in Adamov and joined forces with Surfbar in Jedovnice. Beyond coffee the counter runs warm breakfasts, mostly gluten-free vegetable lunch soups, panini and gourmet wraps, raw desserts and organic Solaris Botanicals teas, with gluten-free and lactose-free options throughout.
